Background:
Joe Rothwell studied with VLUK and UCS for five years. He started as a 16-year-old attending The Football College (TFC). He achieved excellent BTEC grades. He then continued to study with UCS at university.
While studying for his degree, Joe also coached at The Football College. He was learning the fundamentals of coaching by planning, delivering and evaluating his sessions. This progressed throughout his time studying, which resulted in Joe working within the organisation as a part-time coach and leading his own team.
Next Steps:
Joe then progressed his career into education. Following his graduation, he joined Bury school sports partnership where he was delivering PE lessons to primary school children. This experience provided him with a great understanding of education, which encouraged him to enrol onto a PGCE.
