Assessment

Assessment across the UCS programmes provides a framework for feedback on performance. The assessments are divided into formative assessment, which provides feedback as a learning experience and contributes to further learning, and summative assessment, which makes a judgment on the level of achievement.

Teaching methods include online and face-to-face teaching

Assessment Methods

A wide range of assessment methods are applied across UCS programmes. These aim to recognise and test the diverse skills that a sport practitioner needs to have. These can include but are not limited to, written reports, case studies, presentations in various formats, discussions, practical assessments and reflective logs.

Theoretical and Practical

Assessment methods in each module and unit have been chosen to reflect the learning outcomes they assess. As several modules and units contain both theoretical and practical elements, it is common to find assessments which address both components.
